Georgian 1800 12c 14k Yellow Gold Cushion Cut Paste Diamond Necklace Pendant 21"

Description

This is a very rare and ultra beautiful early 1800's Georgian era vintage solid 12ct yellow gold pendant (14k chain) and cushion cut diamond paste necklace. Because diamonds were so incredibly rare in the Georgian period most diamonds used were very small and set into clusters, which made high quality paste stones in demand when a large diamond look was wanted, and only the best paste stones were set into open back settings while others were foiled on the back to enhance their glow. This pendant measures 1/2 inch across and 7/8 inch tall with a 6mm cushion cut stone with a diamond equivalent of about 1 carat. The pendant on this piece has a very unique design with lots of gold to protect the stone from chips and damage. The chain is a newer addition and is 14k gold, the pendant is not marked but was professionally tested as about 12k gold. Weight is 2.5 grams.

We do accept returns, however we ask that you contact us first and send the item back within 30 days of receipt. Items must be returned in the same condition as picture, packed in the original packaging with all invoices or paperwork received. Please wrap items carefully as items that arrive damaged will not be eligible for a refund and will be the responsibility of the buyer. Items that are lost in transition will also be the responsibility of the buyer, so for this reason we suggest purchasing insurance for your returned merchandise.
