Antique GEORGIAN Gold 15 Kt Foiled AQUAMARINES Brooch/Pendant/Locket -1830's

Description

Highly detailed, richly textured brooch/pendant/locket  from the Georgian Period. Made of 15 Kt yellow gold (tested) this brooch is replete with applied gold leaves and flowers in all their glory with their veins, petals, etc. Applied in the center, and rising up from the piece,  is a design with five foiled Aquamarines. Each of the stones are set and are original. Four smaller stones are set in the gold flowers in the main piece. I am not sure if they are acquas or glass but likely are acquas.
The brooch has a locket on the back with the original beveled glass. It can be removed (see photo) and a photo or personal memento (hair, etc.) can be inserted. Original C clasp in fine, working order.
Can be worn as a pin or as a pendant on a chain. The chain in the photo is for display purposes only.
Appears all original and in great condition. Some very minor wear to foil only.
1-1/2"  wide and 1-1/4" long
English and dates to Circa 1830's.
