    Description

The year 2009 marks the Bicentennial Anniversary of Lincoln's Birth. Public Law 109-285, the "Abraham Lincoln Commemorative Coin Act," signed into law on September 27, 2006, requires the Secretary of the Treasury to mint and issue Silver Coins in commemoration of this milestone anniversary.
The last 43 immortal words that Lincoln spoke at the Gettysburg address are inscribed on the
    reverse
of the coin, encircled in a wreath. Above the wreath is the inscription, United States of America. Under the wreath is a banner with Lincoln's signature in the middle, and the words "One Dollar" and "E Pluribus Unum" on either side.
    The
    obverse
of the coin features and image of Abraham Lincoln with the inscriptions: "
Liberty, In God We Trust and 2009"
