Everything about this stamp is intriguing and interesting! First, it shows a person breaking free of chains in celebration of a more independent way of life. Then, there is the fact that it’s been perforated about a third of the way up the stamp; near the middle. Then, all perforations, including the one in the middle, is 11 1/2; as correctly identified in the catalogues. Then, there is the fact that it was used! And then, the cancel is nearly square on the mark and the only reason it’s not all showing is because it was too big for the stamp! That all adds up to this awesome stamp you see here.
