Sunday Outlook: One more hot day and then, a cold front arrives

We’re still expecting above normal temperatures for Sunday with highs in the low to mid-90s and a heat index in the mid to upper-90s.
A cold front will bring showers and thunderstorms across the Big Country extending into western North Texas by Sunday evening. There is a LEVEL 1 (Marginal) risk for severe storms with the primary threats of brief heavy rainfall, damaging winds and small hail.
The bulk of rainfall will end by Monday morning, moving south and east. Highs behind our front, will climb into the upper-70s to lower-80s. Lows will fall into the upper-50s to mid-60s for Tuesday morning.
A disturbance will increase rain chances at 20%, Tuesday evening into Wednesday. Seasonable temperatures will remain in the forecast through Friday.
